This can be open to interpretation, but for the most part common sense should prevail, which means none of the following is allowed: racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia (including purposeful misgendering/deadnaming), ableism, classism, bigotry, harassment, doxxing, or just generally targeted meanness. This isn't necessarily an exhaustive list, but a good rule of thumb is: Podvibes = Good vibes. 😎

A wide variety of things can trigger trauma, and it can be tough to ensure you're capturing them all. Put in a good faith effort and be open to feedback is all we ask. And, to be clear, this is generally a firm suggestion more than a hard rule.

Posts from accounts may not be suitable for kids.
Some audio fiction content may deal with adult themes, and what's legal and accepted in one part of the world is anathema to another. We're not nannies. We're not the arbiter of morality. It's up to the accounts to use content warnings, and we're happy to remind them of that as needed. But Mastodon gives you lots of tools to keep your timeline free of content you personally find objectionable. Use 'em.
